Ian has always been down to earth and real. He truly was friends with everyone,including my outcast self lol. You could always count on him to be right besides you if you needed help and support. We didn't come from one of those rich white areas everyone sees on tv. Its easy to get led down the path of drugs and violence. What most people see in their heads when they think of long island is a myth created by tv and movies. The reality is a lot darker. And again I have to say I am so proud of you Ian for making it out not only alive but making it out and putting yourself out there to try and help others.

Hey brother I watched your podcast on locked in, you are legit. I actually went through Rikers in 1988 (as an inmate) , and it was CO’s like you that kept me safe 🙏. It was a BS charge, case was dismissed, and I was out in 5 days. Full circle I became a CO, then a cop and retired as a special agent with a 3 letter federal agency, thanks for sharing on locked in.
